Where is Port-Manec'h?
Port-Manec'h is a small coastal village in the commune of Névez, in southern Finistère. It sits at the mouth of the Aven, where the tidal river meets the Atlantic.
The house is in Le Pouldon, a quiet wooded setting around 400 metres from Saint-Nicolas beach and roughly 100 metres from the slipway and coastal path.

The lighthouse
Beg ar Vechen lighthouse marks the entrance to the Aven and Bélon rivers and is best admired from the coastal path.

Once a sardine-fishing port, Port-Manec'h is now a small marina whose character changes with every tide.
Le Pouldon and the light of the Aven.
At the Le Pouldon slipway, the view opens onto moored boats, wooded banks and the changing waterline. Late in the day, the western sun lights the opposite bank in warm, reflected tones.
This interplay between water, landscape and light naturally connects Port-Manec'h with the artistic history of Pont-Aven.
